Death’s Daughter by Amber Benson
My review
rating: 4 of 5 stars
My first experience with the writing of Amber Benson
“Death’s Daughter” is a delve into the world of fantasy with modern twists all done in the first person. We first join Miss Calliope Reaper-Jones as she obsesses about her life that is mostly handed over to a job she doesn’t like and a boss she can’t help but kiss the ass of. No sense that she is anything but a glorified secretary. Then the fun begins. With the appearance of her fathers assistant we soon learn the true history of Calliope and what she must come to terms.
Aside from a slow moment that doesn’t seem to be pertinent to the story, at the time. I found this to be a good start for much more to come.
